Good news for many Medicare enrollees: Average monthly premiums for Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage plans will fall in 2025. The average monthly premium for a stand-alone Part D prescription plan is projected to be $40 next year, a decline of $1.63, or nearly $20 annually, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) said in September. … (read more…)

Social Security benefits and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments for more than 72.5 million Americans will increase 2.5% in 2025, the Social Security Administration announced today. On average, Social Security retirement benefits will increase by about $50 per month starting in January.
