Aurora Health Access (AHA) held the Senior Forum at the Summit Conference and Event Center on June 20th.
The event was a great success as there was a packed house of attendees, volunteers, and exhibitors who shared their time and information the people had come to hear. They were able to get many questions answered to some very concerning topics that are affecting them as they age in place or in care today.
The event welcome and Forum overview was kicked off by AHA Senior Circle Co-Chairs Ky Agnew, of PASCO and Molly Markert of Colorado Access with Denise Dento, AHA Executive Director.
Speakers came from various disciplines, Oral Health Issues for Seniors by Joan Eskens, Tri-County Health Department, Dr. Carolyn Ash, Director of Dental Services – InnovAge; Panel of Innovative Senior Projects; No Wrong Door – Penny Cook, Director of Long Term Services/Supports, Colorado Access; It’s Never Too Late – Michele Mahoney and Dawn Davis, New Dawn Memory Care; Engaging Volunteers in Advance Care Planning- Carey Candrian, PhD, University of Colorado; Finding Transition Solutions for Seniors- Amy Panza, Consulting Pharmacist and Owner, Medformation & Tribus Transitions Mandy D’Ambrosia, Lead Medical Advisor and Owner, Arrow Forward & Tribus Transitions.
