Veterans of all ages are welcome to attend a workshop series, “Taming Traumatic Memories,” offered by the Naropa Community Counseling Center (NCC).
The series is designed for both beginning and experienced writers. Participants gain new, more comfortable ways of looking back on events painful to remember. The workshops are structured to be supportive and understanding.
An experienced writing instructor, Nan Phifer leads the workshops. Nan travels nationwide for workshops and her book, Memoirs of the Soul: A Writing Guide, won two awards. To learn more about her see: www.memoirworkshops.com/. She is supported by NCC therapists.
Weekly sessions begin on June 6, Tuesday mornings from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. through August 1, except July 4th. Located at Naropa University, 2130 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder, Thalacker Conference room, in Wulsin Building.
Tuition for an 8-session series is $80. Veterans are given preference. Civilians may leave name and phone number on our waiting list.
