Washington, Illinois a little town between Peoria and Bloomington is where Linda Gabel was born and raised. After high school graduation, she went to the University of Illinois and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychiatry and Communication; then on to earn an MBA in Finance at the University of Tennessee. Over the years of Linda’s professional career, she has been associated with several universities in various capacities financial, administrator, book store operations, dining services, housing and as Executive Director. Her professional background led the way to her serving as President of the Poudre River Public Library District.
A few years back, Linda was involved in a Hot Air Balloon business. She attended the first Albuquerque, New Mexico Balloon Festival which has grown over the years and attracts balloon enthusiasts from all over the world. Linda has attended ballooning events in Sweden and England. She always looked forward to being in the company of other balloonists and having fun in a hot air balloon.
Linda moved to Colorado in 2005 to accept a position at CSU. In 2009, she purchased a Seniors Helping Seniors franchise which provided her an opportunity to pursue a passion she has serving the senior community.
Linda is in total agreement with Senior Helping Seniors’ mission of making sure seniors live their lives with respect and dignity. Her goal is providing wrap around care for her clients. A continuum of care! Just recently her agency received its Class A License allowing for medical care of clients. This is in addition to the non-medical services she provides. Linda is always seeking out ways and means to better serve her agencies clients and patients and being sensitive to the needs of family members; as they come to accept and manage their feelings.
Linda’s agency is recognized as a “Leader in Dementia Care” by the Alzheimer’s Association.
Linda Gabel’s daughter is a professional photographer and lives in Bozeman, MT with her two daughters; ages 8 &11 years old. Linda enjoys spending time with her family and travels to Bozeman frequently.
