Oakridge Crossing is a newly planned mixed-use community that aims to provide senior residents an enjoyable lifestyle at an affordable price.
Oakridge Crossing will consist of 110 apartments and 5,000 square feet of ground floor office space contained in a beautiful three story building. The apartments are designed for independent seniors ages 62 and older with fixed annual incomes from $16,350 to $37,380.
The project’s developer, McDermott Properties LLC, notes that the location for Oakridge Crossing at McMurry Avenue and Oakridge Drive was carefully selected for its proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, healthcare facilities and a variety of retail shops.
In addition to its convenient location, amenities such as a “great room” with large screen television, a fire place, a library and game room, fitness center, and a community kitchen for events and gatherings are designed to set Oakridge Crossing apart from other apartment style senior housing.
Affordability is perhaps Oakridge Crossing’s most defining characteristic. Rents for one-bedroom apartments will range from $438 to $876 per month. Rents for two-bedroom apartments will range from $525 to $1,051.
“Oakridge Crossing will provide much needed affordable housing for local seniors on fixed incomes,” said McDermott Properties President, Arthur McDermott.
A planning and zoning hearing is scheduled for June 9th at 6:00 pm, after which it will be determined whether or not the City of Fort Collins will support construction of the project.
