Be transported back in time with song lyrics like “A kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh. No matter what the future brings the world will always welcome lovers as time goes by.” Come and celebrate love with the Forever Mine Valentine’s Dinner and Dance celebration on February 12 at the Fort Collins Senior Center.
Sentimental singer Dhara Rose, her sax man Andrew Vogt and friends perform classic tunes from the 20’s, ‘30’s and ‘40’s performed in classy style. There’s nostalgia for the days when a song took your heart and put it on your sleeve. They can lift a memory and remind you of a time when love and passion were in the air. Other song lyrics like “I get no kick from champagne. Mere alcohol doesn’t thrill me at all. So tell me why should it be true, that I get a kick out of you?” bring back delightful memories and nostalgia.
Dhara is performing her “Songs for the Soul” with a highly accomplished dance band. She sings standards from the 1920’s-1950’s era like Cheek To Cheek, All of Me, Days of Wine and Roses and Don’t Get Around Much Anymore. The nostalgic tunes that dance your heart away!
Bring your sweetheart and join Dhara and the Forever Mine Dance Band on Friday, February 12 from 6-9 pm at the Fort Collins Senior Center. A three course meal will be served with a cash bar.
