These rodeo athletes are judged on how well they maneuver around a ferocious bull. Death defying feats, such as jumping over a bull are attempted so competitors can gain points as they get within inches of the bull’s head. American Bullfighting is a high stakes game of “Tag Your It”, and one of the most dangerous and exciting sports on dirt. It consists of heats of three bullfighters, the winner from each heat advancing to the Championship round where the most daring is crowned champion among the brave.
On July 5th, the Stampede Demolition Derby sponsored by Grease Monkey crashes into action. In 2014 Motorhomes were added to the already spectacular show, and what a show it was. Destruction at its finest, with debris scattered from one end of the arena to the other. Crowds roared with excitement and celebration as the surviving machines began to mutilate their competition. The lone survivor was a 40 foot camper that shed many body parts before claiming victory. The 2015 spectacle will be no less exciting as the Motorhomes return again with an even bigger pay-out. This year attendee’s will find a new heat, featuring a vehicle commonly considered most mens nightmare, “The Mini-van.” Experience this crushing, destructive and demolishing event, rated Colorado’s largest Demolition Derby. The drivers are competing for $22,000 in cash prizes.
