Parker Veterans Memorial Banner Program

The Veterans Memorial Banner Program is back at Living Wheel Park this year to honor our local heroes who served in the military and have since passed away. Each banner will celebrate one veteran, showcasing their name, branch of service and photo. You’ll see these banners proudly displayed on street lights around Living Wheel Park from about May 1 through July 4, reminding us all of their dedication to our country.

To be part of this program, the honored individual must have served in one of the recognized branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and either died in the line of duty or been honorably discharged before their passing. Priority goes to veterans from incorporated Parker, followed by those in the 80134 or 80138 ZIP Codes.

The cost is $150 per banner, but if you’ve participated before and have a banner in good condition, it’s just $50. This fee covers the design, production, installation and removal of the banner. Banners must be requested and paid for by the immediate family (parents, spouse, children and siblings) of the service member. Applications are due by the end of the day on Friday, April 25.
