CU Boulder Symphony Orchestra Presents Stravinsky’s Ballet “The Firebird”

From the firebird myth, vividly portrayed in Igor Stravinsky’s epic suite from his ballet, “The Firebird,”; to the opulent portrait of King Solomon by Ernest Bloch in his evocative work for solo cello and orchestra, “Schelomo,”; to Valerie Coleman’s striking work, “Seven O’Clock Shout,” describing the nightly tribute to first responders in New York City during the COVID pandemic—you won’t want to miss this program. Recent alumnus Louis Saxton (BM ’24, cello)—undergraduate winner of the College of Music’s concerto competition—is the featured soloist on “Schelomo.” Join us on November 21 at 7:30 pm.
