Breakfast was provided by Good-Sam Fox Run’s Allyson Tator, Administrator and chef Tammy. A filling and delicious breakfast it was. The program was opened by Laura Anderson reciting a poem dedicated to Veterans which was quite moving.

Sheri Lobmeyer welcomed everyone and led The Pledge of Allegiance. Sheri served as the MC for the morning’s program which featured Military Branch songs, the honoring of 22 Veterans, the singing of God Bless American (with everyone standing), and Michael Buckley, 50 Plus Marketplace News Associate Publisher sharing Veterans Day history, humorous military stories and a reading a Tribute to Veterans. A special drawing was held with names of veterans drawn. The exceptional prizes were Kathy Phelps’ handmade Afghans. The winners appeared quite pleased.

Sheri shared her appreciation for Holiday by Atria, Good-Sam Fox Run, Shelby Boyce with Cigna and Greeley Active Adult Center for their active support of the event and then thanked everyone for coming. Guests stayed awhile conversing, enjoying each other’s company which all added up to a good time. Happy Veterans Day was wished to everyone!
