For the second consecutive year, participants in the 14th annual America’s Farmers Market Celebration voted the Greeley Farmers’ Market “Best in Colorado.” Greeley’s market ranked 13th in the southwest region and 121st nationally. “Being selected as Colorado’s best market for a second year is truly a testament to our local vendors and the enthusiasm of our community,” said Andrea Haring, special events coordinator. “Our mission is to bring the best farm fresh and locally sourced products to Greeley residents, while looking for ways to grow our offerings every year.”
Running June to September, the annual AFMC competition showcase markets across the country making a difference for farmers, ranchers, and communities. Greeley Farmers’ Market vendors offer a wide variety of locally grown food and products. The summer market hours are from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday, May through October, at the historic Union Pacific Depot at 902 7th Avenue in downtown Greeley.
In November, the market moves indoors and opens for the winter season from 9 a.m. to noon, the first and third Saturdays of the month at Zoe’s Café and Events, 715 10th St. Winter market offerings include winter produce, local meats, handmade gifts, and many other items.
Every market provides vouchers in exchange for credit card payments, available at the market information booth. The market also accepts Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits and Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards. Visit their website ar
