Right at Home of Northern Colorado is proud to announce that Shirley Aydelotte Roth has won the National Caregiver of the Year. Right at Home has over 450 offices and each owner can nominate up to 5 caregivers for this recognition. The Right at Homes across the nation employ over 20,000 caregivers and we have the number one caregiver in the nation.
Shirley was one of the first caregivers hired when this office opened in 2007. Her longevity, the long-lasting relationships she has built with her clients and all the referrals she has given us over the years show her unwavering loyalty to Right at Home. Shirley listens to her clients with empathy, compassion and goes out of her way to bring joy into the client’s home. Shirley showed her tenacity by providing care for a woman that lived on top of a mountain. The drive to this client’s home took one hour each way, on a dirt mountain road with lots of switchbacks, flat tires, snowstorms, and mud slides.
However, none of this stopped this caregiver from getting to the client’s home. Rain or shine we could always rely on this dedicated individual, when others refused to make the journey. Grocery shopping and church meant this caregiver did the round trip twice per visit, two times per week. This past year Shirley has showed her dependability and resilience, always being there for her shifts, understanding that her clients rely on her even more during these uncertain times.
The definition of companionship refers to company, friendship, or the state of being with someone in a friendly way. Shirley is a true companion to those she has served while creating a friendship that leaves a lasting and loving imprint on their hearts. Right At Home hosted a “Caregiver Of The Year” pre-announcement luncheon attended by local nominees, families, friends, associates, staff and corporate. Patti Walter, Owner/Agency Manager welcomed all the guests and spoke about the outstanding Caregivers she has associated with her and her company. Article courtesy of Right at Home Fort Collins.
