WindSong at Northridge is proud to announce their certification as a Credentialed Montessori Inspired Lifestyle Memory Care Community. This accreditation signifies that the owners, administrators, and staff of WindSong at Northridge have adopted the Montessori Inspired Lifestyle as their signature method for delivering exceptionally high quality of life for their residents in memory care. All departments have been involved in creating this resident guided community where persons with dementia are given as much control over their own lives as possible. They have created a community which involves residents, family members, and staff. All working towards the same goals, all sharing the same key values, to treat every person with respect, dignity, and equality.
Dr. Cameron Camp, Director of Research and Development at the Center for Applied Research in Dementia offers accreditation certifications in the Montessori Inspired Lifestyle Approach to senior living professionals and communities. He has taken a teaching method traditionally used on young children and retooled it to help people with Alzheimer’s Disease regain some of the skills that have fallen prey to their illness. Dr. Camp has been working with WindSong Memory Care Communities since March of 2015, providing training and rigorous program analysis. This prominent designation sets WindSong apart as an innovator and leader in the memory care industry.
