Leaving a Greeley Subway; a man busily and intently carving caught my attention. His tools were laid out before him.
Tim Schuette, originally from Wisconsin; a Greeley resident since 1972, took a break to chat. Tim’s creative talents include pottery, carving, and wood turning.
Carving is a passion. He said, “Wood carving is something to do.” From the work I observed, he does it extremely well. Aside from taking one class, he is self taught. Tim’s carving has taken him from twigs to small wood pieces (branches) and larger ones. Many of his carvings become gifts.

Tim has Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. He belongs to a carving group that meets every Friday at the Poudre Learning Center. Tim is also writing a book on dreams.
The meeting was interesting, informative and enjoyable.
