WWII Veterans Reunion

Members of the Greatest Generation WWII Veterans in front of the B-24 Liberator Witchcraft

That generation was impressively represented at the recent WWII Veterans Reunion held at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport in Loveland which was exactly the right place for the reunion to be held. This because the airport allowed for an exciting and memorable take-off and landing of WWII vintage aircraft such as: B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell and the P-51 Mustang.

Military aircraft enthusiast were available for pre-arranged rides. The aircraft remained on display for all guests/attendees to take a closer look. Many just took a step back to admire the various aircraft and even to recall their personal WWII experiences.

The reunion provided ample opportunity for reminiscing and exchanging personal stories. Ever present and often heard, “Thank you for your service to our country.” Also, often heard, “My pleasure… I would do it again.” The reunion was under the charge of Brad Hoopes the creator of ‘Remember and Honor,’ a project to record and preserve the valuable stories of veterans; so, forgotten they never will be.
