The Society for Creative Aging and Viva Theater celebrate 15 years of ageless entertainment with a reprise of the best of Viva. Enjoy a selection of one-act plays plus highlights from the award-winning “Love, Loss and What I Wore.” See these for the first time or enjoy them all over again.
Viva founded 2002, is the only local theater group that originated with the mission to offer seniors the opportunity to appreciate and participate in the arts, especially theater. Spring and fall productions often include an intergenerational cast. During the year Viva takes theater On The Road to select retirement communities and senior centers. Viva Presents are monthly meetings that offer theater workshops, staged readings, dance and drum programs.
Viva is managed by the SCA board. Illustrious board members have included Marcelee Gralaap of Boulder library fame, Melba Shepard, former city of Boulder Housing and Human Services director, and the late Lucien Wulsin from Naropa. Viva plays Friday, May 12 at 7, Saturday, May 13 at 2, Friday, May 19 at 7, Saturday, May 20 at 2, and Sunday, May 21 at 2. Grace Gamm Theater, the Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut Street, Boulder.
