Office Administrator for the Weld County District Attorney’s Office Terasina White has been named the 2016 Office Manager, Cindy Nelson Award recipient by the Colorado District Attorney’s Council (CDAC). The Cindy Nelson Award was named after a longtime office manager for CDAC, who was billed as being one of the most influential employees in the office for her dedication to the job.
White is one of 21 officer managers nominated by her peers for this award across the state. She, along with the other finalists, were honored at the annual CDAC Conference in Breckenridge.
“I’m truly honored to be the recipient of this award,” White said. “You never really expect to be rewarded for doing your job, but I’m incredibly humbled my co-workers and colleagues across the state notice the passion I’ve put into this career.”
White’s career at the Weld DA’s office began in the summer of 1999 when she joined the team as a secretary assigned to county court. Almost immediately, her supervisors recognized her hard work, dedication to the position and value to the office and she was promoted to a district court secretary position. During this time, she was also the Crimes Against Children Secretary and was clerically responsible for all First Degree Murder cases.
“In every sense of the award, Terasina represents the woman it’s modeled after, Cindy Nelson,” said District Attorney Michael Rourke. “To give an exhaustive list of all of Terasina’s responsibilities would be an exercise in futility.”
White’s contribution goes beyond the DA’s office, however. Her positive reach extends to law enforcement agencies and the taxpayers, specifically by playing a vital role in developing an e-subpoena system and transitioning to a paperless and more-efficient office.
