Free Legal Help is offered by Colorado Legal Services. Persons seeking legal aid through Senior Legal Services must be a Weld County resident, aged 60 or older.
The Senior Legal Services project provides FREE legal help to older adults in civil legal matters including: help with simple wills, General Powers of Attorney, Advanced Health Care Directives (Living Wills), and Medical Powers of Attorney. There is also available help with public benefits including Medicaid, Social Security, Food Stamp benefits. In addition, Colorado Legal Services can assist with foreclosures, landlord/tenant problems, consumer law and collection cases. Help with some family law matters is available too.
Senior Legal Services are FREE for older adults regardless of income and assets. Questions about income and assets are asked when an application for services is made. However, older adults are not denied services based on income or assets.
While Senior Legal Services are FREE for older adults, donations are gratefully accepted.
