Heather Quass
Northern Colorado Right at Home professional caregiver Heather Quass was recently recognized as the Regional Caregiver of the Year out of 20,000 other contenders. Heather has proven her abilities as a caregiver by continually taking on tasks outside the scope of her job, her amazing ability to communicate and comfort clients, and her professionalism with her medical background.
Affectionately referred by one client as “The Sunshine Girl,” Heather was nominated for Caregiver of the Year with many client testimonials. Heather was hired in 2013 and works full time as a professional caregiver. Before coming to Right at Home, she worked at an assisted living facility. She enjoyed her position, but wanted to spend more time with her clients.
One testimonial explained Heather provided outstanding care with her Alzheimer’s patient, so his wife could get respite and at tend her support group for Alzheimer’s. In addition to always being professional and caring, Heather was always calm, patient, and innovative in dealing with her patient, even in the late afternoon with his Sundowners symptoms.
Another testimonial said her father, a retired farmer with dementia, was living with his son in the main house and she was living in the house next door. Heather had really bonded with him and neither one of them wanted to stop seeing each other. Heather immediately made such a wonderful impact in his life and with the family. Heather is compassionate, patient and funny.
