The City of Greeley has launched a study to determine the location and extent of street and private property flooding in the Downtown and north Greeley area.
Several neighborhoods within these areas are known to have inadequate storm drainage and portions have flooded at least five times in recent memory. An examination of existing conditions, the development of feasible alternatives, and a cost-benefit analysis that addresses both storm drainage and water quality are included as part of this study. This study will be used to design the repair or replacement of stormwater infrastructure to help alleviate flooding, reduce damage and improve safety.
During this initial part of the study, Public Works Stormwater staff is asking for citizen input. If you live, work or play in the Downtown or north Greeley area you are invited to participate. Share your observations, comments and concerns. Public Works staff wants to know where you see flooding, how often it occurs and perceived causes. Feedback may also be given online at DowntownRainDrain.com.
