The Nederland Mining Museum offers a glimpse into the world of hard rock mining days in Boulder County during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. See indoor and outdoor displays of trams, ore carts, engines, historic photographs, rare mining claim maps and a mineral display. You can even ring a signal bell like the miners did to tell the hoist operator to bring them up and out of the mine.
The Museum opened on Friday, June 5 and continues Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday, October 31.
The Museum is located at 200 N. Bridge Street, Nederland (on the roundabout at the corner of North Bridge Street and Hwy 119). Phone: 303-258-7332 Admission is free.
