Presented by The Society for Creative Aging/Viva Theater and the Boulder International Fringe Festival ‘Short Takes’ is medley of short plays and monologues, each with its own talented cast and director.
Audiences are in for a carousel ride of ups and downs of life, showcasing comedy, poignant moments and lots of surprises.
Pictured are some of the actors in “Short Takes” having fun at the Carousel of Happiness in Nederland. Clockwise: Rona Cantor, Simone Key, Katherine Campbell, Ken Campbell and Sandy Hale. Other cast members, not pictured, are Jeannette Hillery, Judy Richtel, Mark Read, Steve Grad, Roz Bard, and Talat Khan. The directors are Jim Carver, Roz Bard, Steve Grad, Abigail Wright and Katie Jones.
Viva has been presenting community theater since 2001. Shows have included the popular radio plays “A Wonderful Life,” and “The Wizard of Oz,” original works and plays by well known playwrights.
Viva shows consistently sell out even before opening. Last year’s Nora Ephron play “Love, Loss and What I Wore” was a rousing success. A word to the wise – book early.
