Denver Mayor To Discuss Vibrant Denver Bond

Mayor Mike Johnston and members of Denver City Council today announced a series of community conversations intended to help shape and define which projects, repairs, and improvements will be prioritized through the Vibrant Denver Bond Program. The initiative, which will not raise taxes, must be approved by voters in November.

General Obligation (GO) bond programs like the Vibrant Denver Bond are used to fund new public parks, recreation centers, libraries, arts and cultural venues, roads, bridges, police stations, and other public facilities, as well as maintain and improve existing facilities. Cities across the U.S., including Denver, use GO bonds to deliver the world-class infrastructure residents deserve.

A preliminary schedule of Community Conversations for the Vibrant Denver Bond is listed below. Due to limited space, those interested in attending the conversations are encouraged to RSVP through the city’s website. Additional details will be available online www.denvergov.org/vibrantbond as they are finalized.

Also available is a toolkit for community members to host their own conversations(PDF, 9MB). Ambassadors can use the toolkit to reach out to their community, convene discussions about project ideas, and share feedback with the city to get their voices heard.
