The Metro Mayors Caucus has appointed Guyleen Castriotta, Mayor of the City and County of Broomfield, as its new Chair. Castriotta, who previously served as 1st Vice Chair and on the Executive Committee, is the first Broomfield mayor to hold the role. The Metro Mayors Caucus, a nationally recognized membership organization, brings together mayors from across the Denver Metro region. The Caucus is a unique forum that fosters collaboration and uses dialogue to identify common purposes, challenges and solutions that benefit both the region and member municipalities.

“I am honored to be the first Broomfield Mayor to Chair the Metro Mayors Caucus. The Caucus is a great cooperative effort among Denver Metro area municipalities,” Castriotta said. “While each of the member towns has its own priorities, we come together as a collective to address issues that impact the region as a whole.”
Heidi Williams, CEO of Civic Results and Executive Director of the Metro Mayors Caucus, expressed confidence in Castriotta’s leadership. “Mayor Castriotta will be a wonderful asset for the Mayors Caucus,” said Williams. “Her extensive local government experience, passion for the work and strong regional and state network make her an invaluable asset to the Caucus. Founded in 1993 by seven mayors, the Metro Mayors Caucus has grown to include 38 municipalities in the Denver metropolitan area. It was founded to allow municipal leaders to effectively address regional programs, and today is widely regarded throughout the United States for promoting the region’s recognized culture of collaboration.
