The Loveland Family History Center is hosting an all-day Free genealogy seminar on April 25 for local genealogists and family historians. The 2nd annual Family History Fair’s theme, “Loveland 2015 Family Discovery Day” from 8 am until 5 pm.
The City of Loveland is proclaiming April 25th as Family History Day. Mayor Cecil Gutierrez will address the seminar attendees as a keynote speaker. Plus, lunch is included at no cost. Between each session, attendees can visit exhibitors to learn more about local offerings in genealogy and family history.
The class levels vary from beginner to advanced genealogists. This year’s Fail offers recorded video sessions from the annual Roots Tech 2015 Conference held in February at Salt Lake City. There are multiple sessions presented by local genealogy experts including Pat Johnson, Stacey Rewhbein, Kathy Patrick and Carol Stetser, all with the Larimer County Genealogical Society. Loveland Family History Center experts, Dean and Janet Buck, and Carol and Dave Dowding provide lab classes.
Participants can register for 4 of 30 presentations some labs are space limited, so registration is recommended. Attendees receive handouts form each local class.
