The Colorado Gerontological Society has received additional funding for vision and hearing grants for low-income older adults age 60 and over. Individuals must live in Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Gilpin or Jefferson county to receive services. Priority is given to those who are most in social and economic need. At this time, we have very short waiting lists for these grants.
• Available monies must be expended by June 30, 2015.
• Adults age 60 and over who might be eligible for vision services, may download the assessment form at https://www.senioranswers.org/programs/vision-grants/ and submit it to our office.
• Adults age 60 and over who might be eligible for hearing services, may download the assessment form at https://www.senioranswers.org/programs/hearing-grants/ and submit to our office.

Eligibility: Hearing Exams, Grants up to $770 per hearing aid, Additional $65 per ear is available if molds are necessary.
Vision Program Grants Available To Help Purchase Eyeglasses July 1, 2014 until June 30, 2015.
Eligibility: Eye Exams (including for cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and detached retina),
Lenses (including single vision, bifocals, and trifocals), Frames. Does not cover tints, contacts, progressive lenses, scratch coatings, Priority given to individuals in the greatest social and economic need.
How To Apply: Complete a grant assessment form, including selecting a provider, and submit to Colorado Gerontological Society, 3006 East Colfax, Denver CO 80206. When removed from waiting list, grantees are able to select glasses and have eye exam done.
Grants are paid to provider after eyeglasses are delivered.
