For 25 years—from 1962 until 1987—Warren and Genny Garst spent at least nine months a year on the road shooting film footage for “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom,” the country’s preeminent wildlife and adventure documentary series. In their quarter century traveling the world, the couple amassed an impressive collection of art and artifacts through their interactions with native peoples on location. Through their enlightening journal entries and snapshots, and Warren’s stunning wildlife photographs, visitors are transported back to the couple’s adventurous past, when the Garsts first acquired the masks, spears, shields, clothing, tools, and other pieces on display. Five world regions are represented in this engaging show: Africa, South America, South Central Asia, Lapland, and Australia.
