This is the fifth year of this extremely popular art show hosted by the Weld County Area Agency on Aging and the Greeley Active Adult Center in Greeley. The show features Weld County artists, both professional and amateur, ages 50 and over. Each piece on display was an original and comprised of drawings, mixed media, photographs, and paintings.
Visitors to the exhibit will vote for their favorite amateur and professional piece for the “People’s Choice Award” in two separate categories. The first category will be photography and the second category will be grouped into all paintings, drawings, and mixed media. Ribbons for amateur pieces will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each category. For professional pieces, only first place will be awarded a ribbon for each category.
The recent 6th art show was a spectacular success! The show was exceptionally well-organized featuring the diverse artistic talents of the 50+ community. Attendees of the show were more than pleased with the artwork they had the opportunity to look at and appreciate. The LINC Library Innovation Center in Greeley was an ideal location for the show.

The top two artists for the professional category: John Blake with Evening Flight and Daniel Augenstein with Sunset on the Water
The top four amateur artists were: Laura Stoneman with Ancestral Quest and Kim Thomsen with ZZ’s Garden, Peggy Brada Hess with Bee Diligent, June Clymer Carolus with Holding America.
