We at Tigges Farm, 12404 County Road 64 1/2, Greeley (on the south side of the road only) are always trying something new.
Sometimes very successfully, other times we are getting a lesson on how to do it better the next year. Some things we never change because you, our customers, so enjoy it, so they become traditions – like the free admission. We are open 10am -6pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through October.
New this year – a couple of painting classes (on canvas). Sunday, September 24, 10am to noon and 2-4pm, Pamela Tallon of
A.E.I Studio, a professional artist, will teach classes on painting sunflowers. To give it a test, family, friends, and staff had a great time in July painting
sunflowers. Results – FUN!
Our lesson to learn how to do it better is our sunflower patch. Come early because we hit the weather wrong, and the seeds had to sprout though an inch of crusted soil. Many didn’t make it. Tigges Farm Facebook will let you know when the sunflowers are in bloom to be picked (the few we have in our patch) – $1 a stem.
To officially open the pumpkin patch, A.E.I Studio will be back October 1, at the same times, to teach a pumpkin painting class
(on canvas again). You can register (either class) at the Tigges Farm, (Thurs thru Sun) or at A.E.I. 503 Main Street, Windsor (Tues thru Sat). There is a $25 supply fee and a limit on the numbers to join in the class; so, don’t wait!
Traditions are the wagon rides, bunnies, petting zoo, craft show, the unicorn – all free. For descriptions and dates of all
activities go to the website, www.TiggesFarm-LLC.com. But by far the biggest tradition is “roasting chilies.” What would fall be like without the smell of roasting chilies? Not the same! Come see us! Call 970-686-7225 (during open hours), 970-576-8970 (text or leave a message) for further information.
