This local nonprofit organization started on behalf of the Carbon Valley Network, which is a local group that exists to share information and enhance the collaboration between human services groups, the school district, municipalities, faith-based organizations, Weld County and nonprofits serving the Carbon Valley area.
The Help Center Mission is helping people with immediate need move to self-sufficiency by unifying Carbon Valley resources.
Excitement is brewing as the Carbon Valley Help Center is hosting their “First Annual Empty Bowls Project.” At the event for a modest donation, attendees select a unique hand painted bowl made by a local artist or community member, and then select a meal of soup, bread and dessert donated by area restaurants and caterers. They enjoy the meal with family and friends. The bowl is theirs to keep as a memento of the evening when they gathered to raise awareness of hunger and homelessness in the Carbon Valley area.
All proceeds provide resources and food to the clients of the Help Center. Plan to attend Saturday, November 22, from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. Frederick High School, 5690 Tipple Parkway. For more information call 303-833-6626 or visit info@carbonvalleyhelpcenter.org/
