Born and raised in southern California, Laura Palmeri, moved to Colorado in 2003. She resides in Fort Collins and is a mother to three adult children – two sons and a daughter.
Laura is a 2006 graduate of Colorado Christian University graduating Suma cum laude with a Bachelor of Education and holds a Teaching Certificate. She’s been a substitute teacher and was involved in a Home School Option Program in Aurora. Now, Laura devotes time to an after school program which provides tutoring for school age kids and offers extra curriculum activities like sports, art, music and drama.
Costuming for open stage theatre, snow skiing, gardening are her favorite hobbies. Laura takes pride in a very productive garden she cultivated this past summer. Planting organically is her key!
Laura seeks out challenges. She strives to live life to the fullest. Laura was very clear about trying new things. Her motto: “Want something?” Go for it! True to her motto, she is taking singing lessons with determination to do her best.
Laura is quite involved with the Windsor Community Playhouse. Her roles have included Nova Cane in Devious Dentist, Mother Superior in Nunsense, Robert Ann/Nuncrackers; Enchanted April’s Rose & Lily White in the Dinner Mystery “Wanted for Murder.” Her character portrayals have been professional, convincing and very entertaining. A dramatic role calling for her character dying (figuratively speaking) on stage is a part of her “Bucket List.” This writer wants to be at that performance. She’ll be excellent!
Asked about her dreams, Laura’s response… “I am living it!” She sets out each day to live in the moment. She is grateful for the little things in life – beautiful days… great friends.
Laura Palmeri, down to earth, a wonderful sense of humor, a beautiful smile and “Living Her Dream.”
