Ring in the New Year with the ninth annual First National Bank’s New Year’s Eve Extreme Rodeo Challenge presented by Pedersen Toyota and Agfinity, Inc. at Budweiser Events Center on Dec. 31 at 7:30 p.m. This year’s event will bring rodeo favorites – saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, bull riding, and bull fighting along with the family-friendly mutton bustin’.
Tickets, $15 – $25, are on sale and can be purchased at the Budweiser Events Center Box Office, online at ComcastTIX.com, or by phone at 877.544.TIXX (8499). A $105 VIP ticket are available this year that includes floor seating in the VIP pit, an unlimited buffet, and a host bar for select beverages. Kids’ tickets are $5 for ages 2-12. After First National Bank New Year’s Eve Extreme Rodeo Challenge, the excitement will continue at the First National Bank Building at The Ranch for the New Year’s Eve after party. Watch the countdown to the new year with live entertainment beginning at 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
New Year’s Eve Extreme Rodeo Challenge has quickly become a favorite way to ring in the New Year eight seconds at a time. This event is enjoyed by everyone from the first timer to the experienced rodeo fan. Freestyle bullfighting, the craziest event in rodeo, returns for its second year. This event features the meanest bulls pitted against rodeo athletes trying to outmaneuver these 1,300 pound raging animals. The wrecks are abundant and the excitement is nonstop in this battle that truly pits man against beast.
The action doesn’t stop with the freestyle bull fighting; bull riding is showcased with over 20 bull riders matching their skills against top caliber bucking stock from all over the country. Nationally acclaimed bull riders will team up with a top freestyle bullfighter forming a team that will compete for the Extreme Rodeo Challenge Championship. The teams feature two bull riders, one bareback rider, one saddle bronc rider and a freestyle bullfighter.
