The Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado presented their annual Blessings of Liberty Ceremony during Constitution Week in September at the Pelican Lakes Resort & Golf Club in Windsor. Thanks to committee organizer Mary Zenzen and her committee for hosting another successful ceremony!

Master of Ceremonies Allen Thomas with Vino & Veritas Society gave the welcome address followed by a prayer by Dr. Mary Kuwana and the Pledge of Allegiance provided by students at Ascent Classical Academy.
The Ascent Academy Singers presented a set of patriotic songs including the armed forces medley directed by choir director Jenny Hall followed by the National Anthem sung by Rebekah Burley.
An early re-enactment by the Northern Colorado Colonial Patriots featuring Ben Franklin discussing the origination of the constitution followed by keynote speaker and retired U.S. Marine Corps Sgt Brian Ivers, who spoke about our ‘blessings of liberty’ and the effects on Americans.
Wrapping up the ceremony, Ivers and Specialist Robinson presented awards to the Ascent Academy K-12 students who excelled on their essays on their favorite parts of the U.S. Constitution with a closing patriotic song by the academy singers.
