The TRU Board of Directors are pleased to announce Scott Gresser will assume the permanent role of President and CEO, effective July 1. Having served the past few months as Interim CEO after the departure of former President and CEO, Michael McHale, the past 10+ years as CFO, and 5+ years as a Board member before joining staff, Scott has been an integral part of this organization’s success and transformation. We are excited about this opportunity, both for Scott and for TRU. Scott is surrounded by talented leaders who will support efforts to fulfill TRU’s mission and goals.
As we shared in April, the Board researched and analyzed recruiting options for TRU, including a possible external search. We weighed many factors before deciding that we have sufficient talent, experience, and qualifications for this position within our organization. We decided to keep the CEO search focused on internal candidates, shared the job posting internally on April 29, and kept the job requisition open for three weeks to allow any qualified individuals to apply. The Board’s executive committee conducted an extensive interview process, carefully vetting candidate(s) before making our ultimate decision.
We will recruit the staffing necessary to fulfill CFO responsibilities and are fortunate to have Scott’s history, expertise, and fiscal responsibility readily available during this transition.
Please join us in congratulating Scott and officially welcoming him to his position as President and CEO of TRU Community Care!
