RSVP hosts a fundraiser dinner at Culver’s on August 14, 2014. Culver’s is a fast-food chain specializing in frozen custard and signature burgers made with Mid-west beef & dairy. They are known for their butterburgers and frozen custard. 10% of all funds go towards RSVP in order to sustain its various programs and provide new opportunities to their volunteers.
Serving the community and giving back to those who need it most is an integral part of RSVP. RSVP believes volunteering leads to new discoveries, new friends, and a brighter community. Through volunteers, age 55 and over, and partnerships with local organizations, RSVP can facilitate programs and projects. These programs include the Grocery Shopping Program, Mentoring Education for Success (America Reads), Bulk Mailing Services, the Disaster Preparedness Program, the Veterans Program, SHOP, and Income Tax Counseling RSVP has over 700 volunteers in Weld County that provide numerous hours of service to individuals and organizations. Their service includes mentoring elementary school children in reading skills, grocery shopping for individuals who are homebound, building wheelchair ramps, providing support for homeless veterans, and much more.
Contribute to these efforts by purchasing a meal or frozen custard at Culver’s on Thursday, August 14, at 3502 W. 29th St, Greeley, on 35th Ave south of Home Depot, between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. You get to enjoy a great dinner and an opportunity to help RSVP grow stronger. RSVP’s Director Marcia Shafer commented,” When it is hot, I love their Carmel Turtle Sundae’s.” Friends and family are invited…everyone counts!
