The Winter Olympics in Beijing, China is finally complete after two weeks of exhausting trials and runs by the athletes who competed in this year’s events. Team USA came in sixth with a total of 25 medals. Norway as usual came in #1 with 37 medals.
Team USA had several new gold medalists including Nathan Chen in men’s ice skating, Chloe Kim in half pipe snowboarding, Alexander Hall in freestyle skiing, Kaillie Humphries in monobobsled, Erin Jackson in Women’s 500 meter speed skating, Lindsey Jacobellis and Nick Baumgartner in mixed team snowboarding, Ashley Caldwell, Christopher Lillis and Justin Schoenefeld in Freestyle Skiing Aerials, and Lindsey Jacobellis in women’s snowboard to name a few. Congratulations Team USA!
