The US Navy Blue Angels aerial team performed at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport in Loveland during the weekend! The national Airshow Network hosted the event with other aerial teams and parachute jumpers. Other Navy and Air Force jet aircraft were part of the show for the public over the weekend. The event was very successful with sold out performances on Saturday and Sunday!
US Navy Blue Angels
The airshow had a private showing for dignitaries and veterans on Friday with a sold out event for the general public over the weekend! There were over 10 performances by the U.S. Air Force F-35 and A-10 demonstration teams; Air Force and Navy parachute teams The Wings of Blue and The Leap Frogs; Rocky Mountain Renegades air show team; and several aerobatic pilots. Parachutists landed on the field after a brief demonstration of their capabilities, then the Air force showed several of their aircraft followed by an aerial sport plane doing loops and twists at high altitudes followed by the Blue Angels aerial team.
The Blue Angels always put on a spectacular show with their six Super Hornet jet craft plus one spare. Their jumbo maintenance C130 aircraft, affectionately called Fat Albert, follows the Blue Angels with their maintenance crew assisting them at all air shows. The 140 pilots and air crew take two year shifts performing at the airshows in several countries, which begins in April and ends in November. The Blue Angels are based in Pensacola, Florida.

Thousands of spectators enjoyed the show at the airport during the weekend along with many sight seers parked along many of the county roads surrounding the airport!
