The City of Fort Collins, in partnership with the Larimer County Extension Office, invite residents of Larimer County to join a free virtual informational session next month to learn more about radon, how it can impact health, and actions that can be taken to mitigate radon in homes.
Radon gas enters homes and other buildings through cracks and openings in basements, crawl spaces, and slabs. Radon levels vary from house to house and have nothing to do with the age, upkeep, or quality of the building; however, Colorado homes are at a higher risk for radon.
Larimer County residents will also receive a FREE radon test kit for attending the webinar. Each session will have interpretation services in Spanish. To register for the virtual session visit www.fcgov.com/radon.
Session Dates: Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 6 – 7 p.m. & Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 12 – 1 p.m.
