Due to the rapidly increasing infections and deaths of all ages by the Delta variant, primarily among unvaccinated people, Colorado Health officials are calling on unvaccinated residents to get vaccinated without delay. Additionally, officials are strongly recommending that all community members, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, wear masks in public indoor settings to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
All Coloradans 12 and older are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine, and all Coloradans 18 and older are eligible to receive the Moderna or Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine. All residents over 70 or are compromised can now receive a third dose of either Pfizer or Moderna vaccine shots for FREE. You may have to pay the provider for giving the shot, but Medicare pays for registered seniors.

Per the Colorado Public Health website, the Fourth Amended Public Health Order 20-38 requires unvaccinated people to wear masks in specific settings, including medical facilities (including long term care facilities), homeless shelters, prisons, and jails. The state also requires universal mask use for staff, visitors, and residents in residential care facilities regardless of vaccination status. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) encourages people who are not fully vaccinated to wear masks in all other public indoor spaces to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Stay safe and healthy and please get vaccinated and keep wearing your mask in public facilities!
