Team USA performed exceptionally well during this year’s Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics with the most medals totaling 113 and the most Gold medals with 39. China was second best with 88 total medals followed by Russia with 71 medals, Great Britain with 65 total medals, and Japan with 59 total medals.

Regardless of several athletes catching the coronavirus, the Summer Olympic games were a success. Sadly, this will probably be the worst economic disaster for Japan on the amount of money they spent preparing for the event with the cost of the special facilities, loss of no attendee revenue, and additional security due to the pandemic.
The Summer Olympics event included 339 games in 33 different sports. Over 10,350 athletes from 206 countries participated in this year’s games. Congratulations to Team USA on their many Olympic achievements!
