DeeAnn Groves originally from Hobart, Oklahoma has been in Colorado since 1963. Her husband, Fred, is a retired NCMC surgeon. They are parents of 3 adult children, proud grandparents to six grandchildren and love every minute of family time.
Her husband’s medical career provided world-wide travel opportunities attending medical conferences. She has in her travel ‘bucket list’ travels to Hawaii, Wyoming and the Greek Isles. Her “Things to Do” list has at the top working more with folks challenged by Alzheimer’s and ongoing assistance to Care Givers.
DeeAnn is the founder of Senior Resource Services “Assisting the Elderly and their families in Addressing the Issues of Aging.” Her organization is seven years old and has grown from one client to 550 clients benefiting from the assistance offered by Senior Resource Services. In order to meet the increasing needs of the community, DeeAnn strives to maintain a contingent of 120 dependable volunteers. So, volunteers are always needed. Four part time staff members oversee day to day business operations.
DeeAnn’s vision points towards assisting the elderly to remain independent and retain their self dignity as long as possible in the least restrictive environment.
All of the SRS services are provided at no charge to individuals or their families.
Senior Resource Services has been the recipient of state and national awards for their outstanding efforts in senior care. DeeAnn is proud of her team for these accomplishments. Fundraising is the primary source of revenue for SRS. So, watch for Grandparents Day, Bingo Bash and Soup for Seniors.
