Assistance League® of Greeley needs your help on Colorado Gives Day, Tuesday, December 8, 2020. This online giving opportunity, to your favorite non-profit, is easy and can be scheduled anytime after November 1st. Assistance League has faced unprecedented challenges this year. Your support is vital to our mission: …to meet the challenging needs of individuals through community-based philanthropic programs in Greeley and Weld County.
Your one-time online donation or a recurring monthly donation can be made at www.coloradogives.org/AssistanceLeagueofGreeley. Your donation helps bring hope and warmth to our community.
Recently the volunteers of Assistance League of Greeley provided warmth and hope by delivering over 1300 Blankets and throws through the Warm Up Weld initiative and over 1300 Files of Life to 10 agencies and 12 schools through our File of Life® program.
File of Life medical forms are available in two sizes. One size packet is made with a magnet so it can be placed on a refrigerator, the other is wallet size so you can carry it with you when you leave home. When completed and updated, the File of Life forms may provide vital medical information to emergency responders. Files are free, widely distributed to the community, and are available at the Bargain Box.
File of Life and Warm-Up Weld are two of six philanthropic programs undertaken by the Assistance League of Greeley each year. Primary funding for the programs comes from sales at the Bargain Box Thrift Store, 1706 9th Street, Greeley. Other programs include Operation School Bell®, SingleParent Scholarships for Aims and UNC students, Assault Survivor Kits® and Color Me Weld, distributed to assault victims and children in trauma in area hospitals.
