The African Chamber of Commerce, Colorado-USA (ACCCOUSA) was founded in 2015 in Aurora. ACCCOUSA provides leadership for the growth and development of African Immigrant Businesses in Colorado. To facilitate economic empowerment of African Immigrants in Colorado and promote international trade and investment between the U.S. and Africa.
ACCCOUSA has formed a complete count committee called African Chamber Complete Count Committee and we are participating in the Colorado Census 2020. U.S. Constitution requires that everyone living in the entire country is counted every 10 years.
A precise count matters for City Leaders because the results provide meaningful data for municipal operations as well as inform allocation of more than 675 Billion dollars of Federal Funding to States and local communities.
You do not have to be a citizen to participate in being counted for Census. Also, you should know that your private information is not shared with anyone. It Is Confidential!
We encourage NonEnglish speaking people to participate and get translators to help them by using the phone. You should also know that the Census forms will be sent to your home and can be done online, over the phone in addition to mailing the form back in.
Come to Aurora Public Library April 4th, 12-4pm for help in filling out the form. Bring your form with you or call African Chamber of Commerce to get help: 720- 628-7534. We are more than happy to help you be counted. Happy Census Year!
In addition to the Census 2020, the African Chamber of Commerce is having a seminar on African Women Global Health and Empowerment on March 21, 2020. Please call for more information. ACCCOUSA 720-628-7534, http://acccousa.org/
