Loveland’s Annual Sweetheart Festival

The nation’s largest Valentine’s Day Festival celebrates love in downtown Loveland on February 14 & 15. The festival will be held in the Foundry Plaza on 4th Street between Cleveland Ave. and Lincoln Ave. from 5:00 – 9:00 pm on Friday and 2:00 -9:00 pm on Saturday. The event is free to the public.

The city’s second love sculpture was unveiled in January at Foundry Plaza. The heart shaped sculpture was produced by longtime Loveland resident and businessman Doug Rutledge and local businesses Beatty Construction and Loveland Ready Mix Concrete.

Festival highlights on Saturday, Feb. 15 include Kids Street on 4th Street including brick creation station, face painting, a variety of games including an ice penguin toss, a large building block creation station for kids, and reindeer meet-and-greets for two hours, Sweetheart Classic 4-miler race, Little Miss Valentine and Little Mr. Cupid contest at the Rialto. Couples can renew their vows or get married on Feb. 14 in front of the love lock sculpture, with many more activities! Love locks sell for $20 in the 4th Street Gallery during the festival.

During the event, residents and visitors can view a special effects laser light show  and visual LED wall in the Foundry Plaza, LIVE entertainment includes Friday night headliner Chris Daniels and the Kings and Saturday headliner Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas with special pyrotechnic surprises during each show, and a Loveland Valentine History exhibit in the 4th Street Gallery!
