How much do you know about Medicare, secondary insurances, the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, Social Security, hospice, wills and trusts, home health and private duty care, Alzheimer’s and related afflictions, fitness and aging, senior fraud, aging in place, obility, legislative issues, and Continuum of Care-related decisions?
The mission of the Arapahoe County Council on Aging (ACCoA) is to identify the needs, concerns, and issues of adults 60 and over in Arapahoe County and meet these needs through education, collaboration and coordination in the community. ACCoA receives many inquiries from the 40- to 60-year-old age group concerning issues related to aging. For this reason, ACCoA determined to meet community needs by establishing a free Speakers’ Bureau.
The speakers share information to groups about the many community services and resources available when older citizens are preparing
for dynamic aging or if they are caring for someone else in immediate need of information regarding aging.
In addition to this service, ACCoA and Regis University are partnering to offer monthly presentations on these issues at their DTC
Campus. These presentations are free and open to the public, but because seating is very limited, reservations are required.
For more information about these monthly presentations at Regis, contact them at Email Heather Mahoney.
