Deadwood is a town with an overabundance of history. We had the opportunity to spend most of a day exploring and learning more about the history. The local trolley picked us up in front of the hotel and dropped us off at various locations in town.
The hotel could not have been more accommodating. The friendly staff added to the pleasure of staying there. When we departed, warm good-byes were made with invitations to come back soon.
Our return trip to Milliken went along very smoothly. Some of the group took advantage of the comfortable ride, put their seats back and closed their eyes for a while. Scenery was great to observe. Comfort/snack stops and a lunch stop were made to everyone’s appreciation. The entire trip was just a great time. Everyone seemed to feel the same. Kathy and Patrick were thanked with a hardy round of applause.
My being part of the tour both personally and representing 50 Plus was one of my better decisions. I became acquainted with some wonderful folks, enjoy the company, appreciate the tour. One highlight for me was visiting Mount Rushmore. A visit I had always wanted to make.
Thanks to the Milliken Senior Center and Colorado Coach Transportation.
