Walker Ranch Homestead Cultural History
Volunteers learn fun and easy living history demonstrations to share at special events and weekday school field trips at the Walker Ranch Homestead, an 1880s-era ranch in the mountains.
Volunteers dress in period costume, cook on a wood stove, give tours, chop wood, make shingles, churn butter, and do laundry with a washboard.
This is a great opportunity for families to get involved together.
For those whose schedules allow, there are also opportunities to help with special presentations for school groups that visit the ranch on field trips.
Application deadline is March 14. Training date is April 14.
