Honoring 701 Volunteers!
Show your appreciation on Saturday, March 9, at the Appreciation Breakfast, hosted by Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Weld County. RSVP Volunteers have amassed over 84,059 hours being of service to area residents. This is a chance to say “Thank You” for the dedicated community involvement given unselfishly by the RSVP Volunteers making 7 community service projects like ramps and handrails for handicapped, grocery shopping for home bound, reading partners for K-4th graders, disaster preparedness for seniors, Medicare counseling, congregate meals and veterans’ outreach throughout Weld County possible. RSVP is housed at the University of Northern Colorado. Their presence in the community, since 1973, has made and continues to make a difference in seniors’ lives; a difference that really counts. Friday, February 8: Everyone is invited to join RSVP for their Winter Festival Sale. 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at Brown Hall Lounge, UNC Central Campus, 901 19th St. Jewelry, Clothes, Baked goods, and Homemade items. Free Parking. All Proceeds Benefit RSVP’s programs.
Veterans Stand Down Day. For all Veterans, Friday, February 22, 2019, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District, Community Room, 8426 Kosmerl Pl.
