Add Year to this and we’re off again! Just as we bid farewell to Father Time and the old, we welcome the next 12 months. What possibilities exist for us as we embrace these new days?
Three R’s might become part of our lives as we begin this New Year. Consider refocusing, rejuvenating and relocating.
With all the time afforded us in 2019, we have much to learn. Is this a time to learn something new perhaps in an area of interest not previously explored? Is this a time to return to an earlier interest or one not fully developed in the past? Is refocusing our interests, efforts, occupation, or avocation in order?
This New Year provides the opportunity for exploring many of the wonders in the world whether locally or internationally. Joys and challenges may greet us at each turn in the road whether we’re ready or not. Exploring new places can be rejuvenating, refreshing and broaden our perspective. It can also help affirm our enjoyment of our current location or interest in relocating.
Friendships come and go in our lives. Keeping the older ones alive becomes as important as making new ones. Rekindling lost ones might be part of this New Year. How can friends from the past become part of our present? Reasons may exist for the distance encountered during the years. They can just as easily be erased when a reconnection is made.
Seeking new thoughts or exploring new ideas provides us with a challenge. Giving up old thoughts, habits, attitudes can stretch us all the while. Gone is the comfort zone, replaced with new ways to do old things. Giving up the old way may hold the connotation that it wasn’t good or right. Developing a new way may turn out well or highlight any problems which might have existed previously.
While 365 days may seem plentiful when we begin the New Year, enjoy them all. Living life to the fullest will fill that time.
