Yes, the new Platteville Senior Center is ideal to spend time with family and friends. A Community Fitness Room adjoins the new Senior Center which opened its doors just a few months ago. Area residents are enjoying the new addition to the local community.
The new center offers and hosts events and activities for citizens ages sixty and over at low or no cost. Every Monday and Friday the Weld County Senior Nutrition Program ‘Friendly Fork’ provides lunch for seniors. A $3 donation is suggested. All are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
Working together seniors plan and schedule a variety of activities and events, appealing to the seniors. At the Platteville Senior Center, you not only can have a meal, you’ll make friends, get fit, take a class, get help, have fun, get involved and more!
One upcoming special program is Monday, December 3, from 11:30- 1:30 p.m. Gil Moon, KFKA, 1310 a.m. Senior Circle and Golden Years Radio Shows host. Gil is a popular radio personality is featured. He’ll be sharing his wealth of old time radio and classic movie knowledge.
